It's official: Tito, Vic, and Joey's (TVJ) timeless hits are now under the protection of the ABS-CBN music arm.

On Thursday, Senator Tito Sotto, together with lawyers, signed an agreement as Star Music acquires over 100 songs composed by the trio. From our end, present were Mr. Roxy Liquigan and Atty. Marivic Benedicto.

This means that any person, group, organization, or company which intends to use any of the songs composed by the TVJ, as well as VST & Co. songs, in their projects should ask permission from Star Songs, Inc.

"Whether it's for a teleserye or commercial, whether for GMA or TV5, they should ask permission from us," said Benedicto.

Sotto, meanwhile, said: "We are very grateful to Star Music for taking care of our songs."

The Senator also said they're very happy with the deal and they really trust the company.

"May mga nakaraan naman kami nila Malou at Charo," one third of the TVJ shared in jest, pertaining to the Managing Director of Star Music and ABS-CBN President & CEO.

TVJ's timeless hits include 'Ikaw Lang Ang Aking Mahal,' 'Tayo'y Magsayawan,' 'Ipagpatawad Mo,' 'Awitin Mo, Isasayaw Ko,' 'Step No, Step Yes,' and a whole lot more.
